A Special Announcement

We have something to celebrate, Young Scholars family! 🎉

This month, we are proud to share that our very own

💜 “My First Gratitude and Self-Love Journal” is now officially published!

This journal was created with one mission:

👉🏾 To help children slow down, reflect, and learn how to love themselves from the inside out.

In a world where children are constantly receiving messages about who they should be…this journal reminds them:

✔️ You are enough✔️ Your thoughts matter✔️ Your feelings are real✔️ Your voice deserves to be heard

And this couldn’t come at a better time…

Because May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

🧠 Why Mental Health Matters for Our Children

Mental health isn’t just about “big problems.”

For our children, it shows up in everyday ways:

  • Feeling left out at school

  • Struggling to express emotions

  • Being bullied or misunderstood

  • Feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or “different”

  • Having trouble focusing or staying confident

And especially for Black and Brown children, their experiences are often:

  • Misunderstood

  • Overlooked

  • Or not supported with the care they deserve

We're not just reading books.

👉🏾 We’re building identity👉🏾 We’re protecting confidence👉🏾 We’re shaping how children see themselves

📖 How

Our Journal Supports Mental Health

Your journal is not just a product — it’s a tool for healing and growth.

Here’s how families can use it:

🌱 Daily Self Check-Ins

“Today I feel…”Helps children name emotions instead of bottling them up

💬 Affirmation Practice

“I am strong. I am kind. I am enough. ”Builds confidence through repetition.

🎨 Creative Expression

Drawing + writing = safe emotional release

💛 Gratitude Training

Shifts mindset from lack → appreciation

👉🏾 This is how we build emotionally aware, confident children.
